National Data

CATRA conducts an annual data survey of the member organizations from each province and territory to arrive at a Nation-wide picture of new tires sold, used tires collected, and the end-use markets. The Diversion Rate is determined by dividing the tires recycled (tonnes) plus those sent to energy recovery (tonnes) by the tires collected (tonnes) during that year (all data updated annually). Collected and recycled Off the Road (OTR) tires are included for the provinces that have OTRs in their programs.  For the tire types included in each program, see the schedule of Tire Recycling Fees by Province by Tire Type.
