Collection

The network set up by RECYC-QUÉBEC currently comprises eight carriers who collect used tires from more than 9 100 drop-off locations located across Quebec’s 17 administrative regions. The diversion objective (85%) established under Quebec’s scrap tire policy was reached in 2001-02. The service offered by RECYC-QUÉBEC had a diversion rate of 88% in 2005-06. 87% of tires diverted during 2005-06 were recycled, and 13%, valorized.
