Levy

An environmental fee (levy) of $3 - (rim size 8 to 17 inches) and $9 - (rim size 17.5 to 24.5 inches is collected by licensed tire retailers on each new tire sold in the Province. Annual sales volume in New Brunswick has averaged 750,000 new tires in recent years. All environmental fee revenue collected by tire retailers in the Province is remitted directly to the New Brunswick Tire Stewardship Board or (NBTSB).
