Recycle NB was originally established in 1996 as the New Brunswick's Tire Stewardship Board (NBTSB). In May of 2008, it was transformed into multi-materials agency responsible for the province’s tire and paint recycling programs. Its Board is comprised of 10 directors representing a broad cross-section of regions and sectors throughout the province.
Recycle NB administers the province-wide Tire Stewardship Program (TSP) which has successfully recycled on average more than 1 million scrap tires each year since its inception. Roughly 95% of all scrap tires generated in the Province each year are captured, recycled and used to manufacture new value added products including composite roofing shingles, synthetic bark mulch, arena surfaces and many others.
